Apart from the practice equipment, all other armor and weapons gain the same stats when they are upgraded. The value of these stats will be determined by the market, with a perfectly rolled weapon or piece of armor can command significantly more trade value than non-upp'd versions. The same applies to other pieces of armor, like tiaras or circlets.
